1.i think the whole credit card subject as it pertains to teens/ young adults is a touchy one. its different when your on your own and you have to manage your money on your own. i have a debit card but i dont use it, my mother keeps it and when i work seasonal jobs i give my checks to her and we cash them and split them in between my checking and savings account. id rather not have credit cards, if it was safer i would keep my money locked up in a safe, but money whether its in a bank or in a personal safe comes with consequences. 2. a) Nearly all of the 725 students who took the survey in fall 2009 were business majors b) more than 90% of college students who hold credit cards are carrying monthly credit card debt. c)75% of them do not know their late payment charges and 70% of them do not know what their over-balance-limit fees might be.
MOST SHOCKING the most shocking is the one about the business major students who have debt..thats pretty weird
